Today, April 9, PM Modi will be in Chennai for a roadshow at Thiyagaraya Road in the T. Nagar neighborhood of the city. On Tuesday, the roadshow will start at 6 p.m. Additionally, he will speak at a public gathering in support of Vellore-based NDA candidates AC Shanmugam and Dharmapuri-based Sowmiya Anbumani.
Plannings For Road Shows
The police alerted commuters to the possibility of traffic jams between 3 and 8 p.m. in a few locations, such as T Nagar, SV Patel Road, Mount Poonamallee Road, Gandhi Mandapam Road, CIPET intersection, GST Road, Anna Salai, and 100 feet road.
Mount Poonamallee Road to Anna Salai, Kathipara Flyover to Saidapet, Tidel Park to Gandhi Mandapam, CPT to the airport and Gandhi Mandapam, Anna Statute to Mount Road, CIPET to Anna Salai, Vadapalani to T.Nagar Valluvar Kottam, and Pallavaram GST Road to Kathipara are a few of the routes that are restricted.
Vehicle traffic will not be allowed on Thiyagaraya Road after 3 p.m. as it has been designated as a “sterile zone.” The traffic advice stated that till the roadshow is over, parking will not be available on Thiyagaraya Road, Venkata Narayana Road, North Boag Road, or GN Chetty Road.
Mr. Modi will campaign for the BJP’s candidate for the Nilgiris constituency, Union Minister L. Murugan; for the Coimbatore candidate and BJP T.N. president K. Annamalai. for the Tiruppur candidate and State general secretary A.P. Muruganandam; for Pollachi candidate K. Vasantha Rajan and others.
